Freelancers Union, a national non-profit organization, represents the needs and concerns of today’s independent workforce through advocacy, information and service. OUR TEAM:
We are experiencing exceptional growth and that growth is driven by new ideas and initiatives. The project team is responsible for making these ideas from conception to production. Our creative, dedicated and agile project team is constantly in search of fresh ideas, new tools and approaches and original input from team members. We’re looking for a talented Business Analyst with the following skills:
• Understand that collaboration is the key to success
• Open to entertaining/exploring new approaches, ideas and perspectives
• Experience with pre-project and business case analysis
• Gather, document and interpret end-user business requirements
• Create business process flows and documents
• Familiar with business process evaluation/re-engineering and gap analysis
• Devise and document organizational processes and procedures
• Draft and track meeting discussions and outcomes
• Assist management with project initiation and ongoing documentation
• Proven understanding and application of project methodology
• Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and meeting facilitation skills
• Project plan creation and maintenance
• Issue logging, tracking and resolution
• Solid research and knowledge management skills
• Experience in the health insurance industry or related field is a plus
• Communicate clearly and well, in writing and verbally, with the project team, managers and users in a professional and consistent manner
You’ll need to be familiar with Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word/Open Office and Project Management software (ie MS Project).
We’re also looking for an open mind, an aptitude and appetite for fun, and a desire to contribute to an outstanding cause.
